Over the course of several months, I got to know Tyler Stanton through a series of emails about TV where we would take turns nerding out about various shows. He pushed me into watching Friday Night Lights and I bullied him into watching The Wire. We would frequently joke about how a safe space was needed for people like us to be able to obsess about TV without fear of ridicule or judgement.
Today, that safe space is officially a reality. We’d like to introduce you to TV Asylum: A Safe Place For The TV-Obsessed. This is our blog and pet project where we discuss all things TV and we invite you to do the same.
But that’s not all.
To celebrate the official launch, we’re doing a MASSIVE giveaway: A Roku 2 XS ($99 value), a copy of Tina Fey’s BossyPants, the first season of Arrested Development on DVD, or a $25 Amazon gift card.
That’s a lot of stuff, right? Would you like to know how to enter?
Go to the featured post called The Giveaway, log in to the contest via Facebook or email, and select any or all of the ways you want to enter. The more ways you enter, the more chances you have to win. We’ll pick all of the winners one week from today.
The biggest help to us (that will also give you additionally chances to enter) are these:
- Check the place out. Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, Subscribe to our RSS Feed. Basically the whole social media gauntlet.
-Give us feedback. This is the huge one. We want to know what works and what doesn’t. What do you like? What do you not like? What would you like to see more of? Less of? Nothing is going to hurt our feelings and we promise not to declare jihad on you if you say something negative (Tyler might. But I definitely won’t.)
Lastly, we’re always looking for talented writers who want to talk about TV. If you fancy yourself a writer who is TV obsessed, then click the “write for us” tab so we can talk.
So go forth and enter to win free stuff. We hope you enjoy it.
